I don't pay attention to recruiting rankings this early typically because lots of teams (like us) have very few commitments and are ranked lower even if the average star rating is quite high. However, I happened to look to the right of the page and saw the Top 14 teams listed as of right now and I have to say it shocked me to see Texas Tech at #1. I have never even seen them finish ranked in the top 25 for recruiting before, so I did a double take. They have 20 commitments already including I think 5 4-stars and 15 3-stars. They aren't going to end up anywhere near #1 or even the top 10 when its all said and done, but this is still the most impressive recruiting haul I've ever seen from them. I wonder if they have some big NIL package they are offering over there in Lubbock where nobody pays attention and they can work off the radar.
