I talked with someone very close to Hootie from Neville and who knew Cam for years as well. "The reason Hootie chose Alabama is Saban knew his GPA (3.8 btw and both hootie and Cam have kids) and everything about him, while Miles had no idea about anything like that." That had a lot to do with Cam's decision as well.
Mike do you know if Miles usually does a better job of getting players background?
That seems like an incredibly easy issue to fix, I dont know if that has happened a lot but if it happened with two 5 star recruits it may. If I were their parents I probably would have wanted Alabama too for my son.
