Just wanted to thank all of you for your comments following my recent response to a Firny post, after a few months away.
My wife and I both came down with health issues and about the same time, both of the kind where you go to one doctor who sends you to another, who sends you to another, etc. as they attempt to ascertain what is causing the problem.
She has a severe pain in the shoulder and bicep area of her left arm. So we went through all of the heart tests before finally determining that it wasn't the problem. Then to an orthopedic who found a fluid build up in and around her rotator cuff. She is due for corrective surgery in January.
About the same time as her problems started, I began to urinate blood with clots. Family doctor diagnosed it as an infection and gave me antibiotics. When that didn't work he sent me to a urologist who found a growth in my bladder and went in and cut it out, and sent it off to a lab. I see him in a couple of days for a determination.
It is almost certainly cancerous, but the question now is HOW cancerous In earlier stages, it's treatable, in late stages the only treatment is bladder removal. I told the Dr. that I would rather go ahead and die than to carry around a bag of pee, etc. but he said "you don't want to die of bladder cancer for it is the most painful kind." So we'll see and I'll let you guys know.
Anyway between nursing my wife and my own problems I've been really busy and tied up, but I havereally missed this board and intend to get back daily checks and chats. Thanks again for expressions of concern.
