I've reached out to all of my SEC contacts on where the schools they cover are supposedly planning to hold satellite camps. All are in the planning stages so this will be fluid. So far....
UGA looks to be the most aggressive followed by LSU.
UGA five camps in state, one in Alabama and planning one in Texas and one in Florida.
LSU is still working on it. Destinations rumored have been Shreveport, Tampa, New Orleans, Detroit, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Jacksonville and others. None of these are final.
Texas A&M is supposedly partnering with Tulane and is looking at Baton Rouge and Shreveport.
Vanderbilt is going to concentrate on Polynesian camps.
Kentucky is partnering with FAU on one.
Arkansas looking at a Jerry World event and possibly partnering up with a Big-10 school for a camp up North.
Missouri with plans for three or four camp locations in Texas and one in New Orleans.
Alabama ... one source says they are leaning towards not doing any after it was reported they were partnering with TCU, Ohio St and USC for camps in Dallas and Houston.
Honestly, i think SEC coaches should meet and collude to not do them. It's a waste of resources. I see it as being nothing more than a marketing and branding exercise.
