2015 doesn't have a bountiful group of Top notch QBs in the SEC with several teams breaking in new ones.
I've put together my own list of QBs and where I think they will be at season's end.
1. Dak Prescott MSU. His support group on offense may hold him back a bit . Can he continue to carry the
ball that often and remain in one piece. Heisman candidate for sure . What would LSU be like in 2015
With that homegrown product running the offense? We can only dream.
2. Josh Dobbs. Tenn. dual threat . Had a really good 2014 . He should have more weapons to power that
Offense. Enough to whip their permanent Western Div opponent ?. Let's hope.
3. Jeremy Johnson Aub. Despite Rick Neuheisel 's doubts I still like his chance of becoming an outstanding
SEC QB. Las Vegas has his Heisman odds as 4th best in the nation.Hmmm.
4. Kyle Allen A&M. Every QB flourishes in a Sumlin offense. So will Allen IF he can hold off the best
highschool QB prospect to come out of Texas in many many years in Kyler Murray.
5. Patrick Towles Ky. A pity that this guy is on such a talent deprived team. Probably the best NFL prospect
among the current group of SEC QBs.
6. Brandon Allen . Ark. The Rodney Dangerfield of the SEC ...no respect. This Sr. is perfect for the run
Heavy Razorback attack. Very underrated IMO.
7. Marty Mauk. Missouri. Was a bit of a disappointment in 2014 .can he bounce back and give Gary Pinkel
even a little offense . I think so.
now it's a crap shoot for the next 7 slots....
8. Chad Kelly OM . Talk about your boom or bust . He got weapons around him except at RB ( woeful).
He tops my crap shoot group because IMO he's got much upside.
9. Anthony Jennings / Harris. LSU. He's ranked this high only because of the remaining QBs he's the
one with starting experience.
10. Jacob Coker Ala. another upside candidate . Boom or bust written all over him. Can he even win the job.
Then again Ala always has strong QB play no matter who it is.
11. Will Grier/ Treon Harris. Fla. can McElwain mold one of these two into an SEC caliber QB to at least
pump some life into a pitiful Gator offense that Muschamp featured.
12. Conner Mitch S. Carolina . Not much separates these last three . None impressed in the Spring .
Spurrier certainly wasn't impressed
13. Brice Ramsey UGA. Mark Richt came out of Spring worried . This UGA offense reminds one of LSU
With its embarrassment of talent but major QB questions
14. John Mccrarry. Vandy. Poor old Vandy is last in everything and QB is no exception
