Before the game, I saw some posts from people with a lot of false bravado. LSU's gonna drill Alabama. Fournette will run by them. Harris will go up top on them. I said that I just didn't know.
Now I see posts that LSU will definitely lose to Arkansas and Ole Miss. Come on people, what kind of fans are you? Alabama butt whipped LSU. Could LSU have done anything differently? Probably. Would it have made a difference? Probably not. Alabama has better players and they have more of them. This is cummulative effect of multiple top ranked recruiting classes. It isn't because of the officials or anything like that.
LSU can still have a good season. They can win out and go to the Sugar Bowl, possibly or go 9-2 and go to the Capital One Bowl and still have a 10 win season. Alabama will likely win out and likely be in the National Championship Game.
Before the season, a lot of people did not think they would go undefeated. Many thought they would win 8 or 9 games tops. I predicted 9-3. I think they go 9-2 and win their bowl game. That coupled with great recruiting class could give LSU momentum going into the spring.
We get them in Baton Rouge next year.
