Over the last four years, going off of Rivals' final rankings, 38 players that would be considered 'elite'. These are players whom are either 5*'s (6.1 rating) or borderline 4*/5* (6.0 rating). By comparison, over the same time LSU has signed a total of just 16, less than half as many. On paper, at least, LSU has absolutely no business being in this game.
Considering that to most observers these teams seem to be evenly matched, what do you think is going on - is Miles and his staff that much better at developing their players or just that much better at evaluating them?
