LSU with or without any current coach will always be a great place to play ball and get an education. Success at any university will always start at the top. Our best years were started with Mark Emmert. We currently do not have that sort of leadership at the top. And I don't perceive our AD to be a strong leader to handle his weak upper management. We are living with a bad contract that was written to Les Miles. We are paying for that poor contract. We are tip toeing with Les and the contracts we are willing to give our assistant coaches are short term due to our trying to reduce the overall cost in getting out of the Les expensive buyout should LSU decide to part ways with Les. So the real white elephant in the room is the original terrible negotiationed contract with Les. And to limit our $$$ exposure we are not willing to give our coordinators longer contracts in an attempt to not have to buy Les out and them out should Les go. With such a mess contractually and the issues it has and is causing the only way out if I was the manager is to start over. And to do that the house must be clean. From King to Alleva to Les. Bite the bullet and hire great leaders and hopefully another Emeret is around.
