I don’t believe that an entire thread has been devoted to Stingley missing this game and some but not a lot of discussion of this topic has taken place on the board
IMO had he been available LSU would have won this game ....there I said it ...
LSU was in the game the entire time .State converted 3rd and long repeatedly torching our DBs . Would Stingley have only stopped 2-3 of these the outcome may have been different .
May he have had a good punt return to set up good field position ?
Though still young he was a calming influence ...he was missed for this reason
did his sudden illness and hospitalization distract his team mates ? Things like this upset young kids
