I am a lifelong, often suffering, South Carolina fan, and alumnus. At 58 years of age, I appreciate sportsmanship more so now than I ever had, because there is a lack of this in most sports these days.
Your Athletic Department, AD, Coach Miles, Tiger Band, and fans have all been fantastic in hosting my Gamecocks this weekend.
Thank you from a lifelong resident of the Palmetto State (Columbia 27 years and Charleston 31 years). I am proud and grateful that in 1992 USC became a member of the SEC. We lack some tradition, but fared well enough in most sports to hold our on since joining.
