Leonard Fournette after receiving the CBS MVP award for the Auburn game immediately gave it to FB JD Moore . Leonard did the same thing after receiving the prep,player of the year award in New Orleans giving it away to the Wells kid .
Two years ago I experienced the same thing . For those who may not remember my story.
My son's highschool team won the MAIS state Championship game . They were led by their dynamic star player Kelow Joiner .Kelow is an impoverished kid from rural Central Louisiana . He literally hasn't got a pot to piss in . When I say nothin material I mean ZERO. Can barely afford tennis shoes much less socks.
After the game Kelow is awarded the MVP award . He immediately walks across the floor and hands it to a player on the opposing team that Kelow felt was more deserving. Believe me there wasn't a dry eye in the house after that.
That's what you call GIVING . Giving when that's all you have to give. Kelow will never be able to see or touch that award again but those who saw his act of generosity will never forget the lesson that he taught.
