a 3-4 was under Lou Tepper. LSU's defensive coordinator, prior to Tepper ,lamented how LSU didn't have enough linebackers, so LSU in 96/97 basically ran a 5-2; in 98/99 LSU ran a 3-4 and we all know how that turned out. So now everyone is giddy LSU is going to run a 4-3 when LSU is "thin" at the LBer position. What am I missing? The last time I saw a 3-4 at LSU, the LSU defense had a linebacker on Champ Bailey; It obviously didn't work. So help me feel better. The last time LSU had a "Big 10" d-coordinator things didn't work out so well.
