1) I almost never get down on players, but this is without a doubt the worst-tackling team LSU has ever fielded, particularly in the secondary. Maybe it's all these kids coming from smaller schools where they didn't get the fundamentals, maybe it's all the injuries in the secondary, I don't know, but it was absolutely the difference in this game. I stopped counting missed tackles in the 30's. How do you average 8.5 yards per play for the game and still lose?

2) Jayden Daniels finishes the game 26-31 for 372 yards, 4 TD's and 0 INT's, plus another 100 yards and a TD on the ground. He is definitely putting up Heisman numbers this year.

Passing: 116-155 (75%) for 1,607 yards, 16 TD's and 2 INT's
Rushing: 59 carries for 290 yards (4.9 ypc) and 3 TD's

That's about 380 yards and almost 4 TD's/game. All he needs is just the smallest amount of support from the other side of the ball.

3) You don't need any more clear example of Ole Miss not belonging there than the fact that they rushed the field tonight. Almost as embarrassing as that 2003 'Co-Champs' of the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference banner they gathered together to celebrate tonight.

Other than Bama, this was the game I was most worried about on our schedule. We're coming off a win and heading on the road (again), they're coming off a loss and playing at home, it's practically their super bowl and for some reason we never manage to take them seriously. Total trap game and, despite our offense's best efforts, we got trapped. This was an embarrassing effort by the defensive coaches and particularly the players - with just average defensive play and we win this game by 2 TD's or more.
