LSU is still in the mix for LCA defensive lineman Melvin Hills, who recently released a top five of Texas, LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Auburn. A commitment from him is coming within the next week or two, I'm told, but I don't necessarily think the Tigers lead for him as the communication just really picked up with Jimmy Lindsey was hired. We'll see if the heat gets turned up on him as the commitment countdown is on. The feeling has long been that the Longhorns lead for Hills. I'm interviewing him soon and I'll get a better feel for things. Just one to keep an eye on.
Atkins has been one to watch for potential flip as the LSU commitment moved to Texas then began taking visits to A&M, Arkansas, Colorado and more. There's some legit buzz surrounding him and the Aggies and he plans to be at their pool party at the end of July. I won't be surprised if a decommitment happens.
