Does anyone think that this past Saturday night especially in late Summer 100 degree game time temps, that our own new, quick strike offense affected our defense? Don’t get me wrong I’m willing at this point for a “trade off,” but I still just can’t away from the principle that defense WINS championships. Clemson won it last season not because of TLawerence torching the Tide DB’s on huge 3rd and very longs, but because of 3 NFL 1st rd D Linemen who disrupted Tua like NO OTHER team has yet to do. I think our guys are not in “game shape,” just yet and if that game is played in late October LSU destroys that team. If CEH makes a 1st down on 3rd down in opening drive of 2nd half, who knows? And LSU scores a TD on that drive....it woulda been UGLY.
