Four-star Ohio RB Kyree Young is a name that has been talked about on here before, but probably not as extensively as some of the other backs in this 2021 class. Young is now at Massillon Washington High School near Akron, Ohio. It is his third high school in as many years, but he is not playing this season. There were a few people close to the family heavily impacted by COVID and Kyree's mother has decided to sit him out for the season.
One of the questions with Young in the past was about academics, but I am told he is doing very well there and is clear to sign this winter. Which school he signs with looks to be coming down to LSU and Kentucky. Sounds like his main contact at LSU is assistant director of player personnel Collin D'Angelo, but he also keeps in contact with other coaches on the staff including Kevin Faulk and Ed Orgeron. I know LSU is after other RBs in this class. Can't say exactly where Kyree fits on that board, but from his end of things the interest remains high.
