I'm up early this morning, I couldn't sleep after that game, me and wife not talking because she from Alabama, all my Navy buddies from Alabama. Today I'm not in the mood for the negative backlash I'm going to receive from this post. Oh well!
Last year I spoke about this same thing I'm about to bring up. Last year I stated we needed a better strength and conditioning coach, I was ridiculed for speaking negatively about the great Tommy Moffit. Last night it reared it's ugly head again, they were much bigger than we were. We looked like a freaking JV squad playing some college players. Our guys still playing with high school bodies, them were men wearing crimson and white. They were so physical I was thinking they have to be using PED's, them guys looked like somebody fed them gun powder.
I saw fear for the first time ever since I started watching LSU football, they were petrified. I saw Mouton scared to block, he missed blocks, we had to put in Moore. Guice this guy was so scared after getting knocked on his rear twice, he didn't want to run no more kick offs. His heart got taken from him after Tony Brown murdered him. I saw a bunch of guys that's thinking about leaving early need to stay put.
The Offensive Line, they down right terrible, they pushed the Offensive Line in Fournette face the whole game, I feel sorry for L-Boogie because I know how bad he wanted this game, he probably lost the Heisman. Our Defensive Line played okay, Coach O has done a great job with less.
Alabama defense made LSU lose their identity, we didn't look like the confident team that we have been all year. I believe that Brandon Harris could've picked their DBs apart if given time. He had a couple of nice throws which they should have kept throwing the ball. Every year we play their game, we try to run the ball which they sniffed that out the 1st quarter. Teams like Alabama you have show them multiple looks. The screen pass and other exotic plays would have worked instead of lining up and trying to run through a wall that wasn't moving. I loved the play with D. Smith, it's time to play this guy, he is a Jimmy Graham tight end meaning not going to block just want to catch. Ole Miss beat this team 2 years straight because they threw the ball, showed them multiple look.
Special teams "Oh My Freaking God" BP we got to give him another duty with the team. Our special teams has got to be the worst, Kick off return L-Boogie and D. Jackson need to return kicks. We have no thumpers when we kick the ball off like we had with J. Laundry in them boys. Gamble kid leg not strong enough, he constantly kicks the ball out of bound, he can't kick it through the end zone. The punter leg not strong, he out kicks the defense, he needs to watch some Brad Wing tapes. Special teams F
We got 3 important games that can make or break this season, I would like to see how we look in the next game. I'm glad it's a home game, we need the home crowd to give them energy that they didn't have last year when they played Arkansas. We can still make it to the playoffs, they can't let this game get them down.
