Made multiple calls and it seems folks in Oxford feel it's probable Drake Davis commits to LSU but will still visit there officially later in the month.
Yesterday, i spoke with a LSU source and i said, "Davis says Ole Miss leads and talks non-stop about Shea Patterson, but it's all a smoke screen and he's going to announce to LSU."
The reply was basically, "If it's a smoke-screen i'm not sure anyone around LSU knows it is".
Suffice to say, there's lots of drama with Davis, but don't be shocked when he says "LSU" during the Under Armour game telecast.
If LSU does indeed sign that group of four wide receivers on the first Wednesday in February, it's astonishingly being done without a known big-splash quarterback of the future coming into the program.
On Paper, those four would be the best WR class in LSU history. You also wouldnt trade that haul with any other program's receiver group this recruiting year.
