The one (by some in Baton Rouge) that says Alleva and Herman had a handshake agreement, but Herman decided Thursday that he wanted to hear what Texas was going to do. Alleva got mad and pulled the offer.
The other narrative is that Herman's agent, Trace Armstrong, planted the Thursday story in order to get the Texas people off their asses and make an offer. Herman wanted to go to Texas all along.
