Who was the one recruit on Signing day that that had you not be able to focus on work, family, even eating etc etc?....lol
for me it was Joe McKnight, i wanted us to get this guy.i had N.O. friends constantly telling me this guy was the next Reggie and he was only a Sophomore in HS at the time. Then the game against Hoover High(Ala) on National TV sealed it for me.
I was so infatuated with who he would chose i signed up on the USC rivals sight on NSD morning just to get any info i could. then some poster on there site posted the LOI was in(this was like 7AM) hours before he even announced. I thought USC folks were Trolling but when Tigerlawyer confirmed it and that McKnight played Les i was pissed beyond belief. I just couldn't believe we had let the #1 player in the nation get out of our backyard.
Chad Jones announcement had ease the pain some and we still had the #2 or 3 class but at the time it still felt incomplete without Mcknight. even though i hated the kid after that, at least he didnt take his ass to a Rival like we have had the last few years from LA recruits.
