SEC Why did the SEC step in for the T.V. situation but not Jeffrey Simmons at Moo st?

So the SEC will go beyond the ncaa to keep an incoming LSU freshmen from playing for academic irregularities but a video of a Miss St recruit punching a woman on the ground repeatedly 5 months before he enrolls and the SEC does nothing?

Greg Sankey came out and said the SEC does not approve of Miss St's handling of the situation then why don't they do something about it?
