Just when are we going to see the turn around so many told me was coming in April and May with this LSU baseball team.
Improved hitting? Haven't seen any signs. Guys aren't hitting the ball hard and just unfortunate that it's right at someone. This team is exactly what I said on day one. No pop in the line-up. Wasn't any then, not any now, not expecting any next month. LSU has scored six runs in its last four games, three unearned. One of LSU's best early season hitters has found himself squarely on the bench coming in for pinch hitting roles every few games. LSU has left on its schedule some of the most formidable pitching staffs in the country.
Pitching? Gave up more runs to Tulane last night that LSU has scored in four games. This was supposed to be the strength of this ball club.
LSU sits at 16-8. There are thirty two games left and could have a losing record over that time, I see 15-17 as very much in play, which would be 31-25. So what about a prediction of it being a very long year was off base again? LSU 31-25! LSU last or next to last in the SEC West. LSU a bubble team and possible out of the NCAA tournament. In what Universe is this acceptable? Getting your ass handed to you by the likes of Ball State or Sacramento State or Tulane is NOT ACCEPTABLE for LSU baseball.
