Brian Kelly talked all week about overcoming the adversity LSU would undoubtedly face and it didn't take long into the Auburn game for the Tigers to see it as Sevyn Banks went down with a head/neck injury on the first play of the game and was carted off and taken to the local hospital. That injury really took the energy and crowd out the game early and it was ALL Auburn early in the game.

LSU then went on to score 21 unanswered points for an ugly, comeback win over Auburn, 21-17.

Here's my 3 and 3. Drop yours below...

THREE POSITIVES

-- We've seen it all season: there's no quit in this team. Sure, it sucks that the Tigers continue to start off slow, but somehow they've always battled back to show their grit, heart and determination and Brian Kelly has always acknowledged that throughout the season.

-- The combination of John Emery Jr. and Josh Williams was nice tonight. Obviously, not perfect by Emery who fumbled the ball late, but overall running the ball and catching out of the backfield was solid from the Tigers. Emery racked up 42 rushing yards (on eight carries plus one TD) and 39 receiving while Williams had 17 carries for 68 yards.

-- The defense had its bright spots consistently throughout the game but a few players who really showed up tonight to help solidify this win: BJ Ojulari, Jay Ward, Harold Perkins Jr. and Greg Brooks Jr., who sealed the game with that late pick.

THREE NEGATIVES

-- Flags. Flags. And more flags. The sloppiness LSU has played with throughout the season showed up again tonight with 10 penalties for 96 yards. That's more yardage than the Tigers had passing all night (85). Many of these issues happened on special teams which has been a disaster most of the season.

-- Passing game? The fact that Jayden Daniels has yet to develop a chemistry or rhythm with any of LSU's wide receivers is very problematic. The passing game continued to struggle tonight and it can't all be blamed on the OL. Daniels is still missing open WRs, throwing inaccurate balls or taking off to run and injuring himself like what happened tonight which is why Garrett Nussmeier entered the game late in the fourth quarter. It also doesn't help that several WRs flat out dropped the ball from both QBs.

-- The lack of Jack Bech. Bech has been used on special teams as the returner and he entered the game for a handful of snaps but as LSU's best WR last year when Kayshon Boutte was hurt, it still feels like Bech needs to be fed the ball more often. Of course I say that but it always falls on Jayden Daniels being able to get the ball out and find the open WR. Daniels went to freshman tight end Mason Taylor many times early in the game and always came up empty. LSU might have to get more creative to get Bech involved as he's one of the more sure-handed WRs on the team as we saw many drops tonight.
