Game 3: #1 LSU @ Ole Miss (SEC Network+ and LSU Sports Radio, and Z98)

LSU – Jr. RHP Christian Little (2-1, 3.86 ERA, 23.1 IP, 13 BB, 32 SO)
Ole Miss - probably Jr. RHP Hack Dougherty (2-3, 5.86 ERA, 12 BB, 46 K) or Fr. RHP JT Quinn (3-0, 5.12 ERA, 21 BB, 39 K)

Julie and gents, Game 3 starts at 1:30pm for our 1st place West Tigers as we go for the revenge sweep of Ole Miss. Ole Miss started last year 24-20 (7-14) and the brass at Ole Miss was discussing a buy out or firing of Bianco. I remember a few of our fans wanting him to interview for our job and then being relieved we didn't give him a look and went with Johnson instead. what happened next? Ole Miss went on a tear with (2) pitchers (Dylan DeLucia and Hunter Elliott) that included a sweep of LSU at The Box, eeking their way into the tournament and riding those (2) pitchers to their first National Championship.

A win today will be our first sweep of Ole Miss since back-to-back sweeps in 1996 and 1997 (had to scroll through a lot of schedules to find this). Ole Miss has swept us three times in that period (2006, 2010 and 2022) So let's finish the sweep today and continue our march to our 7th CWS Championship!!! GEAUX TIGERS!!! can I get an Amen

Note: the (2) items of concern from earlier in the week, pitching injuries and too many strikeouts. pitching injuries: well, we got (2) of our best guns, Nate Ackenhausen and Javen Coleman, back. strikeouts: even though we lost to Lafayette, we only struckout 5 times. against Ole Miss we struckout 12 and 13 times (both starters were lefties). hope to improve on that.

1) 2B Gavin Dugas (.324 BA, 10 HRs, 33 RBIs)
2) LF Tre' Morgan (.314 BA, 3 HRs, 28 RBIs)
3) CF Dylan Crews (.488 BA, 11 HRs, 43 RBIs)
4) 3B Tommy White (.372 BA, 13 HRs, 66 RBIs)
5) SS Jordan Thompson (.277 BA, 6 HRs, 32 RBIs)
6) DH Cade Beloso (.371 BA, 6 HRs, 24 RBIs)
7) 1B Jared Jones (.345 BA, 11 HRs, 37 RBIs)
8) RF Brayden Jobert (.300 BA, 6 HRs, 22 RBIs)
9) C Alex Milazzo (.333 BA, 0 HRs, 11 RBIs)
