Gents, weather is beautiful in Alaska and fishing season is wide open. with that said, I'm gonna stop belly-aching about politics and start looking towards sports again. MLB is currently thinking a 4th of July start, although not etched in stone yet, so let's start there.

So, below are the (14) Tigers who booked time in the Majors and a thought on 2020 status of each. Geaux Tigers.

Alex Bregman, Astros: .296, 41 HRs, 112 RBIs, 122 runs.
In 2019, Bregs was AL 3rd Base Silver Slugger, AL MVP runner up, All-MLB Second Team, and an All-Star. Hell of a year. let's hope the whole Alex Cora thing fades soon and he gets back to his MVP ways in 2020. Bummed his buddy Will Harris left...

DJ LeMahieu, Yankees: .327, 26 HRs, 102 RBIs,109 runs.
In 2019, DJ was AL 2nd Base Silver Slugger, 4th in voting AL MVP, All-MLB First Team, an All-Star, and second in AL batting. Should pick up exactly where he left off.

JaCoby Jones, Tigers: .235, 11 HRs, 26 RBIs, 39 runs.
In 2019, was having a great year until sidelined by a broken wrist. All healed and signed a new 1-year deal with the Tigers. Anticipating a great year in 2020, should be opening day starter.

Austin Nola, Mariners: .269, 10 HRs, 31 RBI, 37 runs (first season in the majors)
Nola switched positions a few times and is currently catching on 1st base and catcher. Had a great first year and looks good going into 2020, expected to be a starter, 1st base maybe? Hard to say, he played 1st (59 games), 2nd (15 games), catcher (7 games), 3rd (4 games), and multiple games at all three outfield positions. wow...

Jake Fraley, Mariners: .150, 0 HRs, 1 RBI, 3 runs (first season in the majors)
Jake is resigned with the Mariners and hoping to be the 4th outfielder in 2020.

Andrew Stevenson, Nats: .367, 0 HRs, 0 RBIs, 4 runs
Still signed with Washington and laid the groundwork in 2019 to get some serious playing time in 2020.

Mikie Mahtook, Phillies: .000, 0 HRs, 0 RBIs, 0 runs (finished well in AAA, 21 HRs)
One of my favorite all time Tigers, signed to a minor league deal with the Phillies. Hoping he can hook up with his buddies Nola and Vargas and make the roster!

Aaron Nola, Phillies: 12-7, 3.87 ERA, 229 Ks
His stats should be so much better but the John Kruks of Philadelphia are long gone and their offense sucks. Should still chase an All Star appearance and the Cy Young in 2020.

Will Harris, Nationals: 4-1, 1.50 ERA, 62 Ks
what a freakin' year he had. Combined on a no-hitter, pitched and incredibly rare immaculate inning and absolutely should have been an All Star. Bummed he left the Streauxs but he will still have another All Star like season, one of my favorite Tigers.

Jason Vargas, Phillies: 7-9, 4.51 ERA, 124 Ks
Love this guy, Mr. California! Vargas had a great year that should have been better but no hitting in Philly. Hoping he and Nola team up in the Phillies lineup and kill it in 2020!

Nick Goody, Rangers: 3-2, 3.54 ERA, 50 Ks
Was on pace for an incredible year (1.26 era in late August), then got shelled several games in a row. Still a great year in 2019, signed with the Rangers for 2020 and should do great again!

Kevin Gausman, Giants: 3-9, 5.72 ERA, 114 Ks
Split time with Alanta and the The Nati in 2019. Signed a 1-year deal with the Giants for 2020, hope he gets it back on track.

Ryan Eades,Free Agent: 0-1, 2.38 ERA, 10Ks (first season in the majors)
Played for the Twins and Orioles in 2019. Had a nice 1st year in the majors, currently a free agent. He will get picked up.

Nick Rumbelow, Mariners: 0-0, 27.00 ERA, 2 Ks
Barely got to play in 2019, injuries and what not. Signed with the Mets. He's got something left in the tank for 2020, too good not to get a chance.
