While the LSU Tigers got the job done today in Oregon, back in Baton Rouge it sounds like there's a new name interested in the head baseball coaching job.
Sources have confirmed to TigerDetails that two-time national championship winning coach Pat Casey, formerly of Oregon State, was in Baton Rouge Saturday and has been in contact with LSU officials regarding the open position.
Other names to continue monitoring: Mike Bianco and Cliff Godwin, but both their teams are still in the tournament.
