Gents and Julie, got a question for the board that should be a fun discussion.
Regardless of how long they were here, who are the top-5 football players you ever saw play at LSU. You can't include Billy Cannon or Doc Fenton or YA Tittle or Charles Alexander unless you saw those players, not heard about. add one sentence to explain each choice. This will lead to interesting discussion partially driven by age. Bill_D, SC - can't wait to see y'alls answers.
Here's my top-5 (limited to who I saw play in person or watched on tv)
1) Joe Burreaux - greatest season ever
2) Tyrann Mathieu - the most unstoppable defender I ever saw play college football
3) Cecil Collins - for 4 games, this guy was Earl Campbell
4) Derek Stingley Jr. - the near defensive equivalent of Burreaux in 2019
5) Glenn Dorsey - double teamed, chop-blocked every play and still couldn't be beat
just missed - Leonard Fournette, Charles Alexander (saw him several times as a kid his last 2 years)
let's do this...
