LSU began spring football drills Monday afternoon. The Tigers practiced outdoors in helmets and shorts. Members of the media were permitted to observe about 20 minutes of practice.
Obviously, the biggest question entering spring practice is how new coordinator Dave Aranda will implement his new defensive system. In the individual drills period, Aranda worked with the inside linebackers and Bradley Dale Peveto worked with the outside linebackers.
Initially all of last year's defensive linemen worked with coach Ed Orgeron. But, in more scheme-oriented drills, Arden Key, Tashawn Bower and Isaiah Washington worked with the outside linebackers. Lewis Neal remained with the defensive linemen.
Here is a breakdown of the personnel by position area for the first day. Only scholarship players are listed.
WIDE RECEIVERS
