I'm re-watching the championship game and something really stood out to me. This is kind of insignificant since the game was not in question at this point. However, on our final possession after the fumble recovery, on first down with 3:53 remaining, Clyde breaks open a 20+ yard scamper along the sideline. Instead of being forced out of bounds, therefore stopping the clock, he slides in bounds allowing the clock to continue to run after the ball and chains are reset. We run out the time remaining keeping the ball away from Clemson. In a one score ball game Clyde's heads-up play would have helped seal the game. Tremendous situation awareness on his part.
