I don't know how accurate the list is, but from what I'm seeing, 27 players from 8&4 have entered the transfer portal - that's not counting guys who are going pro or have exhausted their eligibility. Considering that they're coming off a top-rated recruiting class where they signed 11 of the top 55 or so recruits in the country - how is something like that even possible? How do you pay a coach $10 million/year, buy the best recruiting class in recent memory, have all that momentum and then just immediately collapse?
I know we've had some fun at their expense and obviously the transfer portal makes ti a whole new ball game, but, honestly, how can this be rationally explained, especially in the absence of scandal or sanctions?
