hey all. Just caught up with multiple sources over the past 24 hours about the status of LSU DB coach Corey Raymond and Ohio States Rumored pursuit.
I have been informed by 2 sources that raymond IS NOT the candidate being interviewed.
The source stated Raymond would not take a position coach job elsewhere and that he recently purchased a home in Baton Rouge. He is hopeful for a new deal before his current contract expires in 2020.
Raymond, I’m told, is very excited about the secondary returning to LSU, including his new freshmen like Derek stingley, who enrolled last month, and Raydar Jones, among others. He also has young guys like Grant Delpit and Jacoby Stevens, as well.
He has also not told anyone in his circle he plans on leaving. That was confirmed by multiple sources
That leaves Dave Aranda and Bill Busch as other rumored candidates for the Buckeyes.
The language is Arandas deal does not allow him to take another DC job. That should be enough to rule him out.
That leaves Busch, a former Big a ten assistant who has spent time at Ohio St before. Busch has sent some “cryptic” texts that has some sources confused about his future.
We do not have full confirmation of Busch being the candidate, but we are confident it is not Raymond and likely not Aranda.
