Twas the night before College Football, when all through the land
Not a creature was stirring, not even ESPN.
The DVR’s were set on the TV with care,
In hopes that Gameday soon would be there.

The players were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of long touchdowns danced in their heads.
And ‘Ole Coach in his polo, and I with my ball,
Had just settled our brains, excited that it’s fall.

When on the TV there arose such a crowd.
I sprang from the bed to see what was so loud.
Away to the remote, I quickly made hay,
Smashed the button and turned on Gameday.

The lights on the uniforms, glisten and shine
Gave the lustre of Game Day, while we research the line.
When, what to my wondering eyes should greet,
But a Corso, Davis, Howard, Fowler, Herbstreit.

With the coaches leading, ready to make hay,
I knew in a moment the teams were eager for the day.
Herding from the tunnels, the players they came,
And we whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!

"Now Jackson! now, Etling! now, Flowers and Darnold!
On, Barrett! On, Mayfield! on, Francois and Rudolph
