LSU took some hits during the Early Signing Period, ending up with just 19 of the allotted 25 scholarships being filled. With six remaining scholarships available, we dive into where the Tigers may go from here.

McKinnley Jackson

McKinnley Jackson will be a focal point moving forward. LSU was in the lead, but watch out for Ole Miss down the stretch with a hungry Lane Kiffin on the trail.

Edgerrin Cooper

LSU was very high on Cooper, even extending him an offer, prior to the apparent numbers squeeze forcing them to look elsewhere. But now here we are. Cooper is uncommitted and LSU has room. Expect Cooper to be a prime candidate to join this class.

Jahmyr Gibbs

Gibbs is a favorite of LSU passing game coordinator Joe Brady, so look for the Tigers to make a hard push here. Auburn and Georgia also figure to be players.

Ty'Kieast Crawford

LSU was not in a position to gamble with Crawford and push for an early commitment, but things have changed a bit. Look for the Tigers to consider a strong push to get him in the boat.

Sedrick Van Pran

Van Pran postponed his signing, but has not pressed reset on his recruitment. He told TigerDetails.com that he is just looking to explore other schools, but intends to sign with Georgia. We will see if LSU can push him off of that position.

Zach Evans

Evans will remain a focal point for LSU down the stretch. It is not clear whether he signed his letter-of-intent on Wednesday, with him planning to announce at the Under Armour All-American Game.

Avantae Williams

WIlliams pulled back on his Oregon pledge and is now a free agent. He is expected to visit LSU next month, according to a source.

Donovan Kaufman

LSU loves Kaufman and thought they would not be able to get to him, but they may be able to make the move now. Expect to hear something on this front in the near future.

Dwight McGlothern

McGlothern may jump at the opportunity to join this class if given the chance. LSU will take a hard look at McGlothern moving forward.

Alex Adams

Adams was a guy that impressed at the LSU camp and on film, but they were rather full at the time, so they elected not to pursue for a commitment. Expect Adams to engage with the staff moving forward.

Transfer:

Look for LSU to explore a potential transfer with Penn State wide receiver Justin Shorter, according to a source. Shorter would likely have to sit out a year, but would be available in 2021, a year that LSU could be faced with replacing Ja'Marr Chase and potentially Terrace Marshall.

Grad Transfers:

Look for LSU explore this option as well. One name that could come up is Oklahoma grad-transfer Mykel Jones, a Patterson, La. native.
