  • Says A&M is pretty good against the run and a lot of their run game is based on winning individual matchups, and they lost a lot of them this weekend.
  • Thought they prepared to go into a hostile environment well. They started off great and tamed the crowd early.
  • Said they played well the first 52 plays, but the last 23 plays killed them. They've been on the other side of that against SC and Ole Miss, they didn't finish this game, though.
  • Says you don't run a defense expecting the No. 2 QB to come in and they prepared for Weigman much more than Reed, but they've prepared for that type of running QB offense in other weeks and in camp, they just didn't execute on Saturday.
  • Said there were a lot of people calling for Jayden's job in his first year here. Nuss knows that the QB takes all the responsibility and he comes from a QB family, so he's prepared for something like this. Kelly thinks he'll bounce back against Bama.
  • The snapper, holder and kicker need to work in unison for FGs to work. Said they've been working well together all season, and he doesn't know what happened on Saturday, they just weren't in sync. Says the kicker gets all the blame, but it was "the battery" that weren't working. Doesn't think they'll be making any changes at those positions.
  • Was asked if some teams just aren't "screen" teams, and he just said yes.
  • Dellinger had a high ankle sprain. Hopes he can recover this week and play vs Bama.
  • Alabama has great personnel and he thinks they're well coached. Says if his team is playing at their best, they can compete with anybody, and they're excited to get back out in Tiger Stadium.
