• They needed more time to develop young players in their program, so they wanted to bring in some veteran players to help out this year. They have a great nucleus, but they needed to add some elite talent to it. Thinks they'll have a SEC Championship roster.
• Says Nuss came back to win a championship. He's been sitting in on some dinners with transfers because he wants to help sway them to LSU.
• Nuss has no more limitations from his shoulder injury.
• He said he expected 12 portal additions a couple weeks back, but says it will probably be closer to 15 when it's all said and done.
• They were looking for a big bodied receiver in the portal, and that's why they got Nic Anderson.
• Says every guy is excited to keep playing in the bowl game. He's been in situations where they need to keep their team engaged, but this year isn't like that.
• There will be some first time starters in this game. Didn't list specifics.
• Trey'Dez is working at tight end again. Wants to see his blocking improve over these couple weeks. Says he really wants to improve as a blocker.
• They wanted to get a DB with some versatility. They think Mansoor Delane can play both CB and S. They would be happy if they can only play him at CB, but will play him at S if they need to.
• Ju'Juan Johnson will be a RB through the bowl game and then they'll sit down with him and decide where his future is.
• Javien Toviano is now at safety and they're very pleased with his development there. He's getting first-team reps there. He's going to stay there moving forward.
• Says there will be some transfer news in the next 24 hours that he can't talk about, but are done on their end. Mentions the OL that needs some work and the backend of their defense.
