My own definition of a “key player” is one who for one reason or another may not have contributed very much in the past , has a huge upside due to his talent and plays a position that’s important
offense ..
John Emery . He arrived with great fanfare and was slow getting adjusted to the college game
IMO has has the talent to equal some of the production that Clyde took when he left
I just see his ceiling as higher than the other 3
Dar Rosenthal . expectations as the next great LT didn’t work out so far . The staff is high on his
talent . If he can clear up whatever landed him in the dog house , have a great offseason this
OL could be solid
defense ...
Damon Clark . Yeh he got lots of PT and was a big contributor as a back up LB . His upside is
off the charts and he needs to emerge as the team leader at his MLB position
Marcel Brooks . Used as a pass rushing specialist mostly . There’s much concern about the LB
position after the attrition . If he can get bigger and stronger to be a more rounded LB and
play 3 downs our LB worries will be alleviated .
