success in college baseball is most dependant on quality depth in your starters . That more than any other thing wins because of the way the tournaments are set up. This includes the SEC tournament , the regionals and super regionals.
All the other things, defense , relievers, hitting pale in comparison . Inevitably teams have to trot out their No.3-4 starter and have to pray for a few quality innings.
