He didn't quit the team - he wanted to be at LSU. He wasn't kicked off the team - he had a place. He didn't flunk any required tests mandated to be sure of clean living. But he fell short in the most important area for any student athlete -- and falling short there ends participation. He just didn't take care of his business. He's a fine young man and I feel bad for him -- hopefully he'll get things together and maybe one day see the big stage again. Our program is fine -- just an untimely and unfortunate casualty that the coaches have known about for some time.
