I realize I'm probably beating a dead horse here, but a friend on mine on the Mainboard has asked for recommendations on where to have his daughter stay while she is at the LSU Vet School. Having two daughters of my own, I worry about the "right places". I made the following points:
Do not stay north of the campus. Any street with a president's name is bad news
Do not stay north of City Park golf course. You start to get into North Baton Rouge at that point.
Make sure you stay SOUTH of the south gate at Highland Road. Not bad after that.
(This where I need help)
Apartments off Lee between Highland and the canal (before Lee High fine)
Fountainbleu - Not sure it is still called that, between Lee Drive and Plantation Place
Off Jennifer Jean (south of Burbank) OK, but duplexes and some auto break-ins
Tigerland I have no clue
Anything off Highland Road south of the campus?
Any other input helpful. I told them to keep away from Gardere and Burbank, east of Acadian/Perkins, and again, I don't know what to think of Tigerland (used to be good in my day)
