Wife's car got stolen out of the drive way at 3:00pm today about 15 minutes after she had gotten home. We were back and forth between our house and next door, unloading things out of the car in between watching the game. During some brief period in between, in broad daylight and in a neighborhood full of people walking around, my car got ransacked and hers got stolen.
I haven't read anything about car theft being on the rise, but with supply chain issues, higher interest rates and inflation, cars are getting much more expensive and difficult to buy so I have to figure the usual suspects are working over time. Keep an eye out and be safe.
