In the cross-industry composite rankings, these are the currently top ranked in-state LA Football recruits/prospects (many of whom seem to be leaning LSU) - 16 of these guys are 4-star rated (no 5-stars):

1. #13-WR, #66 overall - Kayshon Boutte (New Iberia) 5'10" 175 - current LSU commit.

2. #28-WR, #143 overall - Jalen Cook (Walker, LA) 6'0" 180 lbs - uncommitted LSU lean - but not reporting an LSU offer yet ?

3. #13 -RB, #146 overall - Ashaad Clayton (NOLA) 6'0" 200 lbs - uncommitted LSU lean??? looking around, has LSU offer, almost committed until Emery committed

4. #11-DT, #151 overall - Jacobian Guillory (Alexandria) 6'2" 331 lbs - likely LSU lean? looking around though

5. #16-DT, #168 overall - Jaquelin Roy (Baton Rouge/u-High) 6'3.5" 284 lbs - current LSU Commit

6. #13-ATH, #171 overall - Joel Williams (Baton Rouge/Madison Prep) 6'1.5" 179 lbs - LSU lean ? or no lean, reports LSU offer

7. #34-WR, #187 overall - Ja'Khi Douglas (Houma) 5'9" 184 lbs - uFL lean, reports LSU offer

8. #8-ProQB, #189 overall - TJ Finley (Ponchatoula) 6'6" 233 lbs - current LSU commit

9. #36-WR, #195 overall - Koy Moore (Metairie) 6'1" 170 lbs - decommitted from USC, LSU/uSCw lean ?

10. #7-OG, #252 overall - Sedrick Van Pran (NOLA) 6'4" 305 lbs - no apparent lean, just picked up LSU offer, but was seemingly unfazed by it

11. #18-OLB, #257 overall - Brandon Williams (NOLA) 6'3" 220 lbs - warm on LSU, uTN & uFL

12. #51-WR, 253 overall - Jacobi Bellazin (Livonia) 5'9" 181 lbs (is this the one who has been in ugly looking trouble ???, purse snatching on LSU campus, plus felony trouble ??? if so, scratch ??) -- pass ??? See, e.g.: https://lsu.forums.rivals.com/threads/jacobi-bellazin.49950/

13. #24-DT, #272 overall - CamRon Jackson (Haynesville) 6'5.5" 271 lbs - LSU Commit, reportedly can also play OT/OL

14. #56-WR, #283 overall - Reginald Johnson (Baton Rouge/So.Lab) 6'1" 180 lbs - LSU lean but no LSU offer yet; holds major offers from Ta&m, uTN, SMU & LA Tech; oddly deficient offer list for a 4star WR.

15. #24-OLB, #287 overall - Kelin Burrle (Harvey) 6'0" 205 lbs - UTSA commit; unusually deficient offer list for a 4star recruit who was previously ranked among the top, top recruits in the state; also holds offers from uKY, uKS, COLO, & LA Tech, no LSU offer reported (yet) (not sure why his stock value dropped)

16. #24-ATH, #322 overall - Eric Reed (Shreveport/Calvary Baptist) 6'1" 180 lbs - reported to hold LSU offer along with ND, Duke, uKY, Ole Miss, among others, no lean indicated, but probably an LSU lean

Above are all the 4-star 2020 Football recruiting prospects from LA (there are no 5-stars yet).

This is a work in progress. Others will be listed with details over time, especially the intersting ones, which include but are not limited to:

17. #68-WR Trenton Grow (Edgard)

18. #70-WR Dartravien Girod (Breaux Bridge)

19. #33 DT Jalen Lee (Walker) 6'3" 285 lbs

20. #24-SAF, #398 overall - Bud Clark (Alexanderia) 6'1" 170 lbs - slated for LSU; reports to hold an LSU offer and is warm on LSU

21. #40-DT, #454 overall - Kenean Caldwell (Oak Grove) 6'2" 305 lbs - no reported LSU offer, but holds offers from numerous programs, including Ole Miss and Ta&m, appears to be a Ta&m lean at present

22. #40-OLB, #471 overall - Taiwan Berryhill (NOLA) 6'2" 200 lbs - no reported offer from LSU, but reports offers from uTN, uIN, uKS, MEM, So.Ms

23. #38-CB, #542 overall - Daran Branch (Amite)

24.#45-RB, #543 overall - Kyle Edwards (Destrehan) 6'0" 190 lbs (maybe a guy to watch out for here, especially if top prospects commit elsewhere out of roster fear)

25. #24-OG, #580 overall- Josh Remetich (NOLA) 6'4" 270 lbs

26. #44-DT, #588 overall - Angelo Anderson (NOLA) 6'2" 250 lbs (that's still a highly ranked DT, though lightweight)

27. #28-ProQB, #602 overall - Caleb Holstein (Lafayette) 6'5" 215 lbs

28. #17-TE, #605 overall - Dustin Dyson (Hammond) 6'4" 210 lbs - slated to LSU by some; reports to hold an LSU offer, along with MsSt, uTN, Mizzou, but no leaning reported; seems highly underrated, as are many TEs traditionally

29. #20DualQB, #686 overall - Keilon Brown (Zachary) 6'0" 180 lbs - looks Baylor Bound

30. #123-WR, #687 - Makholven Sonn (New Iberia) 5'11" 165 lbs

38.

39.

40.

41. #90-ATH Cornelius Dyson (Kentwood) 6'2" 182 lbs (Is he related to TE Dyson with LSU offer?)

42. #42-ILB, #__ - Bryce Cooper (Kentwood) 5'11" 220 lbs (1 of only 2 listed ILB on the board)

43. #46-ILB, #__ - Geron Hargon (Shreveport/Cap't Shreve) 6'2" 220

There are a lot of 4 star recruits and high 3 star prospects, but on the whole, the class does not look that exceptional, and certainly is not balanced.

Hardly any LBs, especially no ILBs, no DEs/WDEs, but there are a ton of DTs.

OL looks weak right now, except for a couple.

But looking at the prospects list, it does not appear very well or thoroughly worked up yet, as evidenced by the fact that many of the LA recruits listed next to each other in LA are also listed right after one another on the national overall listing, which is very, very odd, but it occurs numerous times in this list.

Need to go look at DandyDon's, they usually are the first to work up a more thorough listing of the top 150 or so FB players inside the State of Louisiana, and often top recruits pop off the page from that list and rise up in national rankings over the course of the year starting about now.
