Whether you are for, against, waiting, I think his record at Ole Miss, while a factor, is ancient history.
The man has clearly learned from that debacle, and has proven it in my view.
The only questions (assuming he goes 5-2 or 6-1) is can he hire and keep quality staff,and can he effectively run the program at a high level, to include keeping the offense in great hands, something we all know that Miles failed miserably at.
I feel he is exceptional getting players s ready to play, and that is what is needed considering Miles had grown stale.
One thing I will say is that this is as good as staff as LSU has had in total in many many years. I know a new head coach has the freedom to bring in who he wants, but letting a few of these assistance go would be a huge mistake. Going with the interim Who has been successful can be a risk, but it's worked out for Florida State and for Clemson. Actually think Coach O would be a pretty damn good hire. But time will tell.
