In the last few games it has become apparent that some of our defensive backs need need to review and practice basic tackling techniques Too many times you see them leave there feet before making contact with the offensive player and are left in the runner's wake. Or, they take there eyes off of the runner, put there heads down and again left in the runners wake. Hopefully in this off week, they will be reintroduced to proper tackling techniques by having live tackling drills. In addition to being a good cover defensive back, it is just as important that they be good tacklers as they are the last line of defense. A good defensive back cannot be shy when it comes to tackling someone.
