Since Bo Davis was poached by the Saints, there have been some names floated around for LSU's new DL coach, but there now seems to be a favorite. Al Davis, Missouri's current DL coach, seems to be the leader in the clubhouse. He coached under Blake Baker for two seasons and has worked with Kevin Peoples and Jake Olsen during his time at Missouri. Ole Miss DL coach Randall Joyner has also been contacted and is a candidate.
The Athletic also reported that LSU reached out to Florida DL Coach and former LSU coach, Gerald Chatman, but he decided to stay at UF.
