Hermann would by and large be a great hire. But I don't look for him to leave Houston. He wants the Texas job and has turned down offers in the past to build up his high school base for recruiting when he gets to Texas. Charlie Strong is still on the hot seat, and if he did accept the LSU job, it would be with one eye toward Texas. If Charlie Strong was fired, Hermann would be Texas top choice. I want a coach with a long term commitment to LSU, not one that I would have to keep tabs on how another team is doing to see if we might still have a coach the next year. But it would be a great run while it lasted.
