LSU football feels like 25-30 years ago. End of Archer/Hallman era. Ed is a fine man who is from Louisiana and loves LSU. Miles was smart to hire him as d-line coach and recruiting coordinator. But Alleva and some fans were very wrong about head coaching job and it was obvious.

30 years a position coach and never, ever a coordinator. Not once.

Emotional guy over logical

Rah-ray guy. Not very grounded

Not head coaching material at a major school

55 years old and lifelong position coach only

Not a closer as a recruiter. An assistant coach recruiting not a head coach

High school type mentality. "One team. One heartbeat" crap! Total crap! These are 10-23 year olds. Not 12 year olds. Not meatheads anymore. Beating a big bass drum down the hall doesn't work anymore

Ponamsky is a cancer. Bad "first" move. Ironically it's the criminals power point presentation in that "binder" that impressed a few weak minded boosters and Alleva. They bought it all hook, line, and sinker.

The recruiting class from last year was the first real sign. Only 23 signed. 19 of 23 Miles' guys. Largest exodus of La talent to leave state for one school besides Lsu in history!!!

This year's class is very concerning. TCU and Kansas getting La guys LSU wants?!? Mind boggling. The signs are everywhere!

In the last 50 years of college football, only 20 times has a power5 coach that lost and was fired, was rehired by another program. 19 out of 20 times the coach had a worse record the second time around. Only one of 20 won a conference championship as a rehire. The percentages are against ed bigtime. Alleva and over zealous boosters should have known all of this

Should I continue?

The emotional fan base got played. Alleva and boosters knew they could sell this very easily. Look no further from this site. Fans were gushing over the hire like Saban himself had returned to B R. Insane response. Only in B R and at LSU do we know better than all of college football. The most important hire in LSU sports history and they "whiff". Horrible. Sets things back years and years. Sad. The run from 2000-2016 was fun. Best times of my life with football. Not even close. Plus Saints win a Super Bowl?!? Crazy fun. All over now. Troy just whipped LSU's ass on a Saturday night in tiger stadium. Biggest win in their programs history! Nice
