If Bama would have had to defend a Jalen Hurts as LSU’s QB in Canada’s offense it opens up a whole new dimension. LSU’s doesn’t ask Etling to be a classic pocket passer and it would appear that will never be the case. With that being said, imagine the running lanes created when Alabama’s linebacker’s are crashing down on Darrius Guice and their safeties are frozen by the jet sweep on the same play.
Jalen Hurts executes the game plan until he gets flushed out and then he gashes the defense with his speed; not to mention he’s a pretty physical QB too. Obviously, if QB’s like Jalen Hurts were easy to find LSU would probably have one. I would be very curious what Lindsay Scott could have done had he been given the chance. I wish he would have stuck around to find out. If I’m Ed Orgeron finding a running QB would be my top priority.
