Here's my take . Joe Alleva has made it clear that he wants to name the new coach the week of the SEC championship game .
If Orgeron beats Florida ( 14 PT fav) then finishes with a road win over A&M ( LSU will be favored ) LSU will be almost assured of a Sugar Bowl bid ( announced shortly after the SEC title game) .
If these things come to past Alleva will HAVE to offer Orgeron the job as the next LSU headman .the pressure will be enormous to do so.
No more talk of Jimbo Fisher, Tom Herman or any other coach . That's it . End of story.
LSU saves a bundle of money ( hires O for $3 M ) leaving plenty left over to blow Dave Aranda away and the best OC that money can buy . If the Orgeron hire fails to work out then we start over in 2-3 years
