gents, I've listened to a few things and read a bunch about Matt Rhule over the last week. here is a breakdown.
Rhule was a 15-year position coach until he was handed the reins at Temple. he took a 2-10 Temple team to 2014 6-6, 2015 10-4, 2016 10-3 and they won their first conference championship in more than 50 years. next, he went to Baylor. a team decimated by the Art Briles situation. they went from 2017 1-11 (a completely depleted team playing multiple walk-ons) to 2018 7-6, and 2019 11-3 conference division title and the Sugar Bowl.
now, he has been in the NFL for 2 years and its not working out (just like Saban) and the word is he wants to head back to college football. this guy took two worthless programs and brought them to the top in 3 years.
what are your thoughts on Rhule being considered for LSU? as well, he was an outstanding recruiter at Temple and Baylor.
Julie / Jimmy? thoughts?
