It's just soooooooo hard to pull a BCS coach from another school. Almost never does a coach leave one BCS school and go to another. The odds were just stacked against LSU to ever hope to pull an elite, national championship caliber coach from another school. Just couldn't be done. Was purely a lateral move.

I think the phrase "money talks and bullshit walks" came to mind then, as it does now.

No way a coach could demand 64 million and want an 8 year deal. Ludicrous! Well how does 75 million over 10 sound?

Just in the last week or two. How many BCS level coaches have left a BCS school for another? Hmmm.

Methinks some folks were talking out the wrong hole. When the AD and administration get together and want to make it happen. It f'ing happens.

Hate Texas A&M or not, they made a bold move. They made a statement. They said, we didn't just drop 750 million in cash on athletics here for nothing. We gonna throw some money around go get a guy with an NC on his resume'. How excited you think the folks in college station are right now. I'd venture a guess of pretty f'ing excited. They didn't go hire Houston's coach. They went and got Florida State's national championship coach. Bold.
